DO-IT-YOURSELF AAP SOFTWARE
You buy it and learn to use it… then you hope the formats and formulas are up-to-date with current regulations… hope the vendor provides free upgrades… hope you make correct decisions about data input and analysis… hope OFCCP will agree with the results… and hope there’s a backup person in your organization to carry on in your absence. All of this while juggling all of your other responsibilities.
Human Resource Specialties already has the right software… it’s always up-to-date… it’s always OFCCP-compliant. We’ll provide input on interpreting AAP results… we know what OFCCP expects… and if your company is audited, we’ll be there to explain our work. Best of all, we make it possible for you to get on with all those other responsibilities.

HR CONSULTING FIRMS WITH AAPS AS A MINOR LINE OF BUSINESS
For providers in these three categories, AAPs are only a part of their business. Many of them do indeed provide complete and compliant AAPs, but.. how can you know for sure which are and are not investing the time and resources to stay current?… are they using outdated strategies, information, or software to create AAPs that may not stand up to OFCCP scrutiny?… will you recognize “outdated” when you see it? What do you know about the expertise of the person who actually prepares the AAPs?… is a support person using a “fill in the blanks” approach to create the AAPs?… will you recognize “expertise” when you see it? Will the price you’re quoted include everything you need?… will you be charged extra for AAP components such as Adverse Impact Studies or Compensation Analysis?… will you recognize “complete” when you see it?
Human Resource Specialties invests heavily in staying current with OFFCP trends and developments. Plus… we use our own in-house maintained software. We keep our clients up-to-date with a variety of email advisories and live, interactive webinars. Our expert team members have extensive experience and depth, and we prove it by introducing them to you right here. Our fixed cost quotes for complete AAPs itemize exactly what you’ll receive, and you’ll receive exactly what you need to satisfy OFCCP’s requirements.
Law firms that offer AAP preparation vary in both expertise and philosophical approach. Many attorneys focus on helping their clients get through audits by preparing AAPs that draw minimum attention from OFCCP. Some may take a more adversarial approach by using unique or controversial positions, templates, or formulas that OFCCP is likely to contest. As in consulting practices, law firm AAPs may be prepared by paralegals as one of their many roles, and who may not be familiar with day-to-day HR practices.
Human Resource Specialties’ philosophy is to create compliant AAPs that attract as little criticism from OFCCP as possible. We use accepted techniques and easy-to-read report formats. We don’t add unnecessary elements, and we’ll never “cook the books” to hide bad facts. And yes, we DO believe in client attorney involvement in AAPs. We welcome reviews of our finished AAPs by client attorneys and work closely with them during audits. Above all, we respect and value the on-going teamwork between our firm and dozens of attorneys across the United States.
HR CONSULTING FIRMS WITH AAPS AS THE PRIMARY OR MAJOR LINE OF BUSINESS
Quick… can you name the person who actually prepared your most recent AAP? (Not the person who handled the contract or closed the sale). What are their credentials? Do you have access to others in the firm with equal or greater expertise? How quickly does your preparer respond to your emails? How quickly can you get them on the phone? Do you leave a voicemail and wait for a return call at their convenience?
At Human Resource Specialties, providing exceptional service is a priority. Our clients tell us they’ve found significant differences between us and other firms because we are so focused on providing service that is personalized, timely, and customer-oriented. Project leads provide clients with their personal cell phone numbers. We take service so seriously that our voicemail operates only when the office is closed.
